Prefabricated offices
The cost of modular home office building is lower than those produced in the traditional way, thanks to the standardization of processes, industrial manufacturing and time savings; however, this also depends on the materials used or the modifications made to the standard designs.
Respect for the environment
Because of the manufacturing process followed, the reduction of transport and the materials used (recyclable in a significant proportion), in many cases prefabricated houses have the capacity to be a more ecological and environmentally friendly alternative, to which can be incorporated, of course, renewable energy sources, such as solar panels, aerothermal or geothermal energy, for example.
More versatile
The way in which these houses are built, especially if they are modular, allows them to be adapted to the needs of the family at all times, making it relatively easy to add an extra module if necessary.
Depending on the type of prefabricated house we can find some disadvantages, as they are:
Standardized models.
Although it is possible to customize the standard models, and some manufacturers already contemplate some of these variations, excessive customization or substantial modifications with respect to the original can cause a significant increase in the price to be paid.
This can also be caused by the terrain orography; as they are designed based on a model, if the terrain is very irregular or has a more or less pronounced slope, it can cause the adaptation to have a high cost.
